The 74th Melbourne Gang Show proudly presents

Falling in forbidden love was fated from the start.
What will they listen to? Their head or their heart… 

You’d be forgiven for thinking scouting is all about the outdoors, but there’s so much more to us than that! Melbourne Gang Show is an annual musical theatre performance – written and performed by youth. Established in 1953, it is a training activity of Scouts Victoria and Girl Guides Victoria, providing young people with practical experiences of performance and stagecraft.

The following Moonee Valley District members are performing in this year’s show:

We are coordinating group bookings for the following shows:

  • $48 – Sunday 21st June, noon
    Everything included – Matinee – limited seats
    • Includes:
      • Return bus trip
      • “Before the curtain” – pre show introduction to Theatre which qualifies towards a Special Interest Area badge
      • Short time before and after the show to purchase drinks, snacks and souvenirs (bring extra money for this)
      • Leaders will supervise unaccompanied youth members
      • Families and friends more than welcome to attend

      • Please arrive at pick-up points in plenty of time
      • 12 noon: leave Fairbairn Park carpark, Woods St, Ascot Vale
      • 12.20pm: leave Kensington Town Hall, 30-34 Bellair St
      • 1-5pm: at the Besen Centre
      • 5:40pm: drop off at Kensington Town Hall, 30-34 Bellair St
      • 6pm: drop off at Fairbairn Park carpark, Woods St, Ascot Vale 
  • $37 – Saturday 20th June, 7.30pm
    Rover Night show and party
  • $24 – Sunday 21st June, 2:00pm
    (includes pre-show behind-the-scenes at 1:00pm)

The Fine Print:

  • All performances are at Besen Centre, 87-89 Station Street, Burwood. 
  • Only the “Everything included” option includes transport to/from the venue. Otherwise please make your own arrangements to the venue. There is free parking on site.
  • There is a free 20 minute behind-the-scenes sneak peek before each matinee performance. Be at the theatre foyer at 1:00 pm.
  • Bring the whole family, this isn’t just a youth member event!
  • Paying via the Moonee Valley link adds you to our group booking. When we have enough bookings for a Group Booking, we then confirm with Melbourne Gang Show and forward you your seat ticket.
  • The show runs from 19 June to 27 June, 2026.  If you would like to attend but are not available on the 2 group booking dates, then you can purchase tickets directly https://www.gangshow.org/.  
  • If booking directly, please attribute the ticket to one or more of the Moonee Valley District youth members performing in the show (they win prizes for selling tickets!)
  • You can book tickets right up to a couple of days prior to the performance, however – tickets may have already been sold out and you will not be sitting close to other Moonee Valley Scouts watching the show.
